Japan-Bulgaria Business Association (JBBA) is established to support and promote existing Japanese businesses in Bulgaria. We provide information on the investment climate and legislation, as well as practical support for operational issues to potential Japanese investors in the country.
Our goals is to promote and support bilateral relations between Japan and Bulgaria, participate in the public and regulatory debates, and support the development of a positive environment for doing sustainable business.
The association aims to organize various networking events, seminars, trainings and conferences, stimulating interaction between members, and with their stakeholders.
Founding members are JTI Bulgaria, Astellas Pharma, Takeda Bulgaria, SEGA Black Sea, Zen-noh Foods
The Management board of JBBA comprises of Vladislav Mihov – Country Manager, JTI Bulgaria and Chairman of the Management board of JBBA, Stamen Bankovski – General Manager, Astellas Pharma for Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania, Todor Kesimov – General Manager, Takeda Bulgaria.
The business relationships between Japan and Bulgaria started in 1927 with exchange of official letters related to merchant ships and implementation of the MFN clause in this regard.
